Autopsy findings released on airport-area fatal collision

Advertiser Staff

An autopsy today found cause and manner of death for two men killed yesterday as multiple blunt injuries due to motor vehicle collision.

The 12:45 a.m. collision at the intersection of Kamehameha Highway and Camp Catlin Road near Honolulu International Airport involved a speeding 2007 Kawasaki motorcycle broadsiding a 2008 Nissan Altima.

The Altima's driver, 35-year-old Gregg Gurtiza, was identified by the medical examiner yesterday. The name of the 24-year-old man operating the motorcycle is not being released until his identity is confirmed and next of kin notified.
