Lahaina has new auto registration office

Maui County's new satellite office of the Division of Motor Vehicles and Licensing at Lahaina Center opened today following a blessing ceremony.

The facility has 1,176 square feet of floor space, nearly three times more than the old location. The office will be open Monday through Friday, 8-10:45 a.m. and noon-3:30 p.m. The location offers two hours of validated parking for DMVL customers.

Services offered include: driver's license renewal and duplicates (Classes 1, 2 & 3); light vehicle road test (Class 3); driver's license instruction permits and renewals; out-of-county and out-of-state vehicle transfers; motor vehicle registration renewals; duplicate motor vehicle registrations; certificate of title, ownership transfers, storage and junking; ordering of vanity license plates; taxicab driver's permits; disabled parking placards (temporary and four years); dog licenses; recording of motor vehicle notice of transfer; bicycle and moped registrations, and business licenses for second-hand dealers, pawn brokers, scrap dealers and auctioneers.
