The Hawaii Community Foundation donated $77,660 to the Hawaii Foodbank yesterday.

The money is part of $162,360 collected in about 10 days by the foundation for food banks statewide.

Funds will also be donated to food banks on the Big Island, Kaua'i and Maui.

Some 29 donors participated in the campaign.

The donation comes as food banks statewide are seeing more need.
