With Adam Sandler's latest film, "Bedtime Stories," opening on Christmas Day, the film's promoters asked librarians at the Hawai'i State Library's Edna Allyn Room for Children to recommend some hard-copy experiences, with input from children's librarians at several branches throughout the state.

These books were recommended for reading to children ages 2 to 10.

They are listed according to the age recommendations, from youngest to oldest, with picture books first, one anthology of folk tales, and chapter books for older children rounding out the list.
