Rainbow Wahine hold off Washington State, 65-59

Megan Tinnin scored 20 points and grabbed eight rebounds to lead Hawai'i to a 65-59 victory over Washington State tonight in a women's basketball game at Stan Sheriff Center.

Sarah Ilic added 15 points and Dita Liepkalne had a game-high 11 rebounds for the Rainbow Wahine (3-8)

Jazmine Perkins scored 14 points for the Cougars (7-3).

Hawai'i took a 31-16 halftime lead, but Washington State tied it a 51 on a 3-pointer by Katie Appleton with 3:20 remaining. Tinnin's basket gave UH the lead for good at 53-51 with 2:09 remaining. The Rainbow Wahine scored the rest of their points on 12 free throws.
