Surf: Best bet may be east-facing shores today

Advertiser Staff

There's won't be much surf rolling in anywhere on Oahu today, the National Weather Service said.

Surf of 2 feet or less is expected along west and south shores.

Elsewhere look for 1- to 3-foot faces on surf along north-facing shores and 3 to 5 feet along east-facing shores, forecasters said.

Outlook through Sunday, Dec 28: A small to moderate northwest swell will arrive late tonight and peak Wednesday, then subside Wednesday night and Thursday. Returning trade winds this week will generate short period east swells for surf which may approach high surf advisory levels along east-facing shores around Thursday or Friday.
