Maui County, UPW set to sign drug-testing pact

Maui County and the United Public Workers union are scheduled to sign an agreement today that establishes testing for alcohol and controlled substances for non-commercial driver's license employees in bargaining unit 1.

The agreement covers about 400 workers.

Details of the agreement will be announced at the formal signing at 2 p.m. in Wailuku by Maui County Mayor Charmaine Tavares and Dayton Nakanelua, UPW state director.
