PHILIBERT BENEDICT AKAU, 76, of Honolulu, died Dec. 10, 2008. Born in Ho-nolulu. Retired commander in U.S. Coast Guard. Survived by wife, Ernestine; sons, Nolan, Conan and Vance; daughter, Stacy Ann Kauffman; nine grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; brothers, Richard and Maurice; sisters, Bertha Akau and Elaine Kaopuiki. ISABEL BERNADETTE CESTARE, 74, of Pahoa, Hawai'i, died Dec. 20, 2008. Born in Nassau, N.Y. Owner of The Godmother restaurant, Pahoa.
