A Web site that specializes in highlighting discount hotel offers is including Hawai'i as one of the top destinations for hotel deals in 2009.

The site DealBase.com, said Las Vegas, New York City, Washington, D.C. and Miami will be among the top leisure destinations when it comes to offering discounts. It said hotels here, beset by falling occupancy, have already started enhancing offerings, including offering rental cars with room bookings.

It predicted some four-star resorts here will offer packages with effective nightly rates of less than $79 a night during 2009.
