Windward Mall to double size of food court in renovation

Advertiser Staff

The food court at Windward Mall will close Jan. 1 for an expansion and renovation project that will more than double its size.

The project represents a deferred piece of a $23 million renovation completed in 2007 to Windward O'ahu's only regional shopping mall.

The food court wasn't renovated at that time because of tenant lease commitments, according to Jonathan Kim, general manager of the Kane'ohe shopping center.

Windward Mall owner Kamehameha Schools said it is working to sign a mix of national and local food court operators to fill 10 tenant spaces.
