Associated Press

Marcus Walker led five players in double figures with a game-high 26 points to lead Colorado State to a 82-76 win over Vermont Monday.

The Rams (5-8) moved into Tuesday's championship final of the Outrigger Hotels Rainbow Classic. The Catamounts (7-4) saw a three-game win streak snapped and will play in the third-place game.

Colorado State used an 11-5 run to close out the first half and led 42-36 at the intermission. Jesse Carr's 3-pointer capped a 13-6 run opening the second half for the Rams.

Willis Gardner scored 17, Carr had 12 and Travis Franklin and Andre McFarland added 10 points apiece for Colorado State. The Rams made 32 of 42 free throws.

Colin McIntosh led Vermont with 22 points and Nick Vier added 18. It was the first-ever meeting between the schools.
