Surf up to 15 feet expected on Kaua'i, Ni'ihau

Advertiser Staff

A high surf advisory has been issued for the north- and west-facing shores of Kaua'i and Ni'ihau and for the west-facing shores of the Big Island until 6 p.m. today.

Surf heights of 12 to 15 feet are expected on Kaua'i and Ni'ihau, the National Weather Service said. Surf along west-facing shores of the Big Island are expected to reach 6 to 10 feet this morning and continue through the day.

A high surf advisory means that high surf will affect beaches in the advisory area, producing rip currents and localized beach erosion.
