In celebration of Chinese New Year 2008, the Hawai'i State Library hosts "Chinese Astrology and Feng Shui in the Year of the Rat," a free informational program at 10:30 a.m. tomorrow in the Library lobby.

Alan S. F. Lum, author and feng shui authority, will present the talk.

Lum is the author of two books: "Feng Shui for Lunch" (2002) with Clarence Lau, and "The Centuries Old Philosophy and Practice o Traditional Chinese Feng Shui and the More Advanced Flying Star Feng Shui" (2002).

In this program, Lum will apply the principles of the Chinese art of placement to the Chinese New Year (4706 in China). This 90–minute program is recommended for ages 12 to adults.
