Repair work cancels today's Hawaii Superferry sailings

Advertiser Staff

Hawaii Superferry has announced that service scheduled for today between Maui and O'ahu has been canceled due to an unexpected delay in the completion of repair work. Repair work is expected to be completed today.

Inclement weather forced the Alakai to remain dockside from Sunday through Wednesday this week. During that period, Hawaii Superferry performed routine maintenance inspections, during which the need for repair work related to the vessel's auxiliary rudders was identified, the company said in a news release.

Passengers holding reservations for today are being contacted about the cancellation. Hawaii Superferry will notify passengers today concerning the resumption of service. Customers are encouraged to visit www.HawaiiSuperferry.com for the latest travel information.
