Nominees sought for Kauai senior citizen awards

LIHU'E — Kaua'i County is looking for the names of senior citizens 65 and older who have made exceptional contributions to the community as a nominees for a special award.

The Agency on Elderly Affairs is accepting nominations for the 2008 Outstanding Male and Female Older American awards.

Nomination forms are available Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., at the Elderly Affairs office at the Lihu'e Civic Center, Pi'ikoi Building.

The deadline to submit a nomination is Friday, March 7.

The winners will be announced during an awards ceremony on Thursday, May 8.
