THE WOMEN'S FUND OF HAWAII

The Women's Fund of Hawaii has named Dawn Shin as assistant director. She previously launched and managed subsidized childcare programs for low-income families.

HAWAIIAN COMMERCIAL & SUGAR CO.

Hawaiian Commercial & Sugar Co. has promoted Robert Luuwai to vice president, factory operations. Luuwai assumes responsibility for the Pu'unene Mill and power plant. Luuwai joined the company in 1986 and has served as factory operations manager since 2002. Also promoted was Hubert Symonds, to Maui Brand operations manager.

KONA BREWING CO.

Kona Brewing Co. has hired Tracy Solomon as sustainability coordinator responsible for researching, developing, implementing and monitoring a company recycling and sustainability program. Kona Brewing is Hawai'i's largest brewery with two restaurant sites in Hawai'i and beer distribution in 17 states, Japan and China.

KUAKINI HEALTH SYSTEM

Kuakini Health System has named Laurene Chun, R.N., as director of nursing for long-term care. She will manage Kuakini Geriatric Care Inc.'s 187-bed Intermediate and Skilled Nursing facility. Chun has more than 17 years of nursing management experience and previously served as the director of nursing for Kaiser Permanente's Long Term Care Facility.

BIG ISLAND VISITORS BUREAU

The Big Island Visitors Bureau has promoted sales manager Deanna Isbister to director of sales, responsible for directing leisure sales activities for the U.S. Mainland and Canada.

ALEXANDER & BALDWIN

Tanya Webb has been promoted from senior tax accountant to to manager, tax compliance, at Alexander & Baldwin.
