Haleakala Highway on Maui reopened after accident

Haleakala Highway between Maile and Hana Highway has been reoopened following an early-morning accident.Maui County offiicals reported the accident and road closure at 1 a.m. and said the highway would remain closed while emergency crews treat injured at the accident scene.
Haleakala was reopened at 5:36 a.m.
