Winter weather advisory for Big Island summits

A winter weather advisory has been extended for the Big Island summits until 6 a.m. today, the National Weather Service said.Deep moisture and cold temperatures will continue on Mauna Loa and Mauna Kea with additional freezing rain or isolated snow showers. The National Weather Service expects snow accumulation in of 1 to 2 inches and patchy ice accumulations, making for hazardous driving conditions.
