Green House ecology seminars set for Saturday

The Green House, located at 224 Pakohana St. in Pauoa Valley, plans three workshops for Saturday:

-- Flutterby Butterflies for keiki: Learn to create a habitat for butterflies from trash, and plant flowers in the "Butterfly Garden." Each keiki will receive a caterpillar and food to take home; 10 a.m. to noon; for ages 4 and older; $12 per parent/child team.

-- Home Brewing: Brew your own fertizilers and pest control formulas with permaculture cesigner Hunter Heaivilin; 1:30-3:30 p.m.; $15.

-- EcoFootprint: Parents and keiki explore environmental awareness through a garden scavenger hunt, playing eco-games and learn how choices influence the health of the planet; 1:30-3:30 p.m.; ages 5 and older; $12 per parent/child team.
