Inspirational speaker in 'Secret' movie to visit Hawaii

John Demartini, a philosopher, author, and inspirational speaker who appeared in the movie "The Secret" will this month visit Hawai'i to share his self-improvement techniques.

Demartini will speak on O'ahu, Feb. 12 at the Japanese Cultural Center, 2454 South Beretania St, and on Maui, Feb. 13 at the Diamond Resort in Wailea. On Feb. 16 -17, Demartini will conduct his two-day workshop "The Breakthrough Experience" at the Fairmont Kea Lani, in Wailea on Maui. The workshop aims to challenge old assumptions about living and offer new paradigms for life.

Demartini was reportedly diagnosed with a learning disability and told he would never read, write or communicate. He dropped out of high school to surf the waves of Southern California and Hawai'i. Demartini later developed a successful chiropractic clinic, and now consults other health professionals and speaks and writes on the subjects of personal transformation.
