Wainiha area without water service because of flood

Wainiha residents along Ananalu Road and portions of Kuhio Highway will be without water for an extended period of time, possibly through tomorrow, Kaua'i County officials said this morning.Repair crews are working to restore water service to the area, which was impacted when a water pipe under the Wainiha Bridge broke as a result of Sunday's flooding. Their efforts have been hampered by high stream levels and associated flooding.
