Advertiser Staff

Two men were injured this evening in a single-vehicle accident in Hau'ula, according to Honolulu police.

The crash happened just after 5 p.m. Two men, 31 and 41, were traveling north on Kamehameha Highway just past Kahana Bay when their car veered off the makai side of the road. Both were taken to The Queen's Medical Center in serious condition, according to Bryan Cheplic, spokesman for the city's Emergency Services Department.

One man was later downgraded to critical condition, causing police to close the scene for investigation. He was later upgraded to guarded condition.

Traffic was contraflowed at the accident site, but was cleared just after 9:30 p.m.
