Advertiser Staff

Kamehameha Schools senior Michael Hoke has made a verbal commitment to play football for Southern Utah University next season, according to Pacific Islands Athletic Alliance director Doris Sullivan.

Hoke, a 6-foot-2, 195-pound quarterback, reportedly chose Southern Utah over offers from Weber State and Colorado-Pueblo.

Also, 2006 Kalaheo graduate Michael Andrews made a verbal commitment to play for Nevada.

Andrews, a 6-3, 275-pound defensive lineman who played for Arizona Western Junior College, reportedly chose Nevada after receiving recruiting interest from New Mexico State, Cincinnati, Alabama-Birmingham, Kansas State and Auburn.

Sullivan also reported that Kamehameha receiver Ekolu Soon has made a commitment to play for Army.
