Siren to be tested at Ala Wai Yacht Harbor

Advertiser Staff

The Ala Wai Yacht Harbor warning siren will be tested tomorrow by the city Department of Emergency Management in conjunction with Hawaii State Civil Defense.

The test is being conducted to ensure that the siren is operating at full power and providing optimal range.

Residents in the vicinity of Ala Moana and parts of Waikiki may hear several 20-second siren soundings during the testing period, which begins at 9:30 a.m. and ends at noon.
