Firefighters, a fire investigator and an engineer from the Ilikai Hotel are continuing to try to find out what caused light smoke to accumulate in an area near Sarento's Restaurant at the top of the hotel earlier this morning.Four fire units were sent to the hotel, at 1777 Ala Moana Boulevard, about 2:50 a.m. in response to a report of a kitchen fire.
But arriving firefighters found no kitchen fire while looking for the source of the smoke.
As of 7:15 a.m., it still had not been determined what caused the problem.
