Pedestrian critical after being struck in Maili

A pedestrian in her 70s was taken to The Queen's Medical Center in critical condition this evening after she was struck by a car on Farrington Highway at Kaukamana Street in Maili, according to police.

The accident happened just after 5:30 p.m., said Bryan Cheplic, spokesman for the city Emergency Services Department.

Police have closed the westbound lane of Farrington at Liliana Street for investigation.
