Honpa Hongwanji to host Leap Day peace event

A peace events is scheduled for Feb. 29 at the Honpa Hongwanji state headquarters."A Gathering to Affirm Peace" begins at 6 p.m. that day at the headquarters, 1727 Pali Highway. It includes dinner and songs of peace by Keith and Carmen Haugen. It's sponsored by the Interfaith Alliance of Hawai'i, Hawai'i People's Fund, Americans for Democratic Action, American Friends Service Committee, Honolulu Friends Meeting, United Nations Association, Hawai'i Division and Veterans for Peace.
Tickets: $15 (RSVP by Feb. 22).
