Augie T, the comedian who's now doing morning-drive radio on 93.1 The Zone (KQMQ FM), wondered how he'll remember and honor wife Kim this Valentine's Day. The resolution? He's doing his "Augz and Kisses" Valentine's Day show at 8:30 p.m. Feb. 14 at the Pagoda Hotel's La Salle restaurant on the second floor of the Floating Restaurant. "I had to do something for my wife on Valentine's, so this is it," he said of the venture, which also provides him some bucks. Eh, not all husbands have that option. ...

Doors open at 7:30 p.m.; the intimate gig also features Jose Dynamite and Timmy Mattos. Tickets are $20, available at 262-6300, or www.worldsound.com. Also check Augie's Web site at www.augietulba.com.

The Valentine's show precedes a new series of Augie laughfests, at 8:30 p.m. Fridays, starting Feb. 22 at La Salle. Tickets are available at the same number and sites. Augie has successfully complemented his radio broadcasts with this kind of regular see-him-in-person shows in Waikiki. ...

RADIO WAVES: With Augie's aforementioned move to mornings on 93.1, one of Visionary Related Entertainment's O'ahu stations, there's a series of adjustments across the dials:

  • Chanel, former morning co-host on 93.1, moves to midday.

  • Shawn Ho returns to 93.1 after a two-year absence, to man afternoon drive.

  • Chris Hughes, from Clear Channel in Los Angeles, takes over night duties on 93.1.

  • Devon Nekoba, former 93.1 host, moves to midday on sister station KUMU FM.

  • Michelle Shockley, from 96.9 The Eagle (KSEG FM in Sacramento), joins 105.9 K-POI (K-POI FM) in afternoon drive.

  • Dave Hisaka moves from 93.1 midday to 105.9 midday.

  • Kaleo Pilanca, formerly of Island Rhythms 98.5, joins Sam the Man on 102.7 The Bomb (KDDB FM).

  • Real Deal Reed moves to nighttime on 93.1, from the afternoon drive slot.

Meanwhile, ousted 105.9 K-POI midday personality Dave Lawrence is anticipating a relocation announcement shortly; his fan base, dubbed the Dave Lawrence Army, has made www.dlarmy.com a site for commentary and sharing. Lawrence is posting an interview he did with Hawai'i-bound Andy Summers of The Police when the group was in Perth, Australia, despite a 19-hour time difference; the conversation — timely, since The Police will be in concert Feb. 16-17 at Blaisdell Arena — can be heard online or via your iPod. Another Lawrence chat with Donna Jean Godchaux of The Grateful Dead, who toured and recorded with Jerry Garcia in the 1970s, also will be posted in the weeks ahead. ...

THEATER TIDBITS: "Hawai'i Theatre Follies: Les Mardi Gras," staged Friday through Sunday at the Hawai'i Theatre, was an artistic success but a box-office disappointment — a victim of scheduling and downtown gridlock. First Friday, Chinese New Year festivities such as Night in Chinatown, and competing stage openings like Hawaii Opera Theatre's "Don Carlo" and DHT's "Barefoot in the Park" kept folks away. Ditto, Sunday's Super Bowl.

But the spectacle, directed by Jack Cione (he says this was his last; he's relinquishing directorship next year to Derek Daniels, whom he'll assist) and produced by Burton White, was eye- and ear-filling, with gorgeous Mardi Gras-style costumes, an Ed Sullivan Show-type parade of diversity and exquisite specialty acts like the incredible Brandy Lee, female impersonator and senior citizen, amid an ambitious Hotel Street boys-will-be-girls segment with choreographer Daniels as a shimmying and gyrating Tina Turner. ...

THE DAZZLER: the Mardi Gras-Carnival moment, capped by a huge bird-of-paradise costume. ...

THE FAMILY FARE: "Under the Sea," with bubbles creating an underwater mood. ...

THE VOICES: John Valentine's solo and a duet with Yvette Nii; his "Impossible Dream" and their "Hello Young Lovers/I Won't Dance" duet were plain, simple, yet riveting. ...

Nii, by the way, is the newly crowned Miss Ko Olina 2008, which ensures her a Miss Hawaii slot in the 2008 competition. The title comes with a $15,000 Hawai'i Pacific University scholarship and the role of spokeswoman for the five-star resort. Nii won all categories — talent, director's choice, interview, congeniality — so that certainly boosted her confidence, and perhaps, her chances in the biggie slated at Blaisdell Arena in July. ...

FINALLY: Tracy Byrd, the country-western singer, dined at Ruth's Chris Steak House at The Shops at Mauna Lani. ...

Doug Kreeger, the Isle actor in Broadway's "Les Miserables," was home to soak up local theater — Manoa Valley Theatre's "Doubt" and Diamond Head Theatre's "Barefoot in the Park." ...

    And that's Show Biz. ...
