The National Weather Service has issued a flash flood watch for the Big Island and all islands of Maui County through 8 p.m. today.

Unstable conditions in the upper atmosphere coupled with abundant moisture continue the potential for locally heavy showers and isolated thunderstorms in the areas subject to the weather watch, the Weather Service said.
