Photographer Annie Leibovitz is best known for her award-winning photography in Rolling Stone, Vanity Fair and Vogue. "Annie Leibovitz: A Photographer's Life, 1990-2005," a new exhibit in San Francisco, presents a retrospective of her professional photographs and those taken of her family and close friends, thus presenting a full "photographer's life."

As Leibovitz says: "I don't have two lives. This is one life, and the personal pictures and the assignment work are all part of it."

More than 200 photographs are on view, including portraits of the pregnant Demi Moore, Nelson Mandela in Soweto, and George W. Bush in the White House; images from the siege of Sarajevo; and haunting landscapes from the American West and Jordan. Leibovitz also documents births, deaths and her family's life and celebrations, as well as photos from nature.

NEW ORLEANS

TRAVEL GUIDE DISHES UP LATEST BIG EASY EATERIES, ATTRACTIONS

Zagat Survey's 2008 travel guide to New Orleans goes far beyond dining. The guide covers 600 of the city's restaurants, night-spots, hotels and attractions. Who's back in business after the hurricane and flooding? Where do you find the best cocktails? Fortunately, most museums and landmarks survived Katrina, and the guide lists 29 popular attractions.

"We've created this guide to help both visitors and locals alike rediscover the rich cultural life of New Orleans," said Tim Zagat, Zagat Survey CEO. For instance, the New Orleans' French Quarter Festival, April 11-13, is one of the town's smaller festivals, yet it features more than 150 musical performances. www.frenchquarterfestivals.org.
