Two-day program to focus on domestic violence

Advertiser Staff

In the efforts to organize and mobilize men to stand up and speak out against domestic violence and sexual assault, the Domestic Violence Action Center is presenting "Voices of Men: Creating Peace in Our Homes and Communities," a free, two-day event that begins with a stage performance.

Ben Atherton-Zeman performs his one-man play at 6 to 9:30 p.m. Feb. 22. A community dialogue will be 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Feb. 23, when the Rev. Al Miles and Julie Owens, both well-known national speakers on the issue of domestic violence and the clergy, will share their expertise. Both events include free meals (pupus at the Feb. 22 event, continental breakfast and lunch at the second).
