The parent of interisland carrier go! said it expects to report a loss for its fiscal first quarter.

In a filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission today, Phoenix-based Mesa Air Group is asking to delay the filing of its financials for the quarter ending Dec. 31, 2007.

Mesa said it is not yet able to quantify the size of its first-quarter loss, which would be the company's third quarterly loss in a row. Last month, the company posted a record $68.2 million loss for its fiscal fourth quarter.
