Preps: Kapaa faces Waimea for state tourney berth
The Kapa'a High School girls basketball team plays at Waimea tonight for a berth into next week's Hawai'i High School Athletic Association state Division II championships.
Kapa'a (6-2) won the Kaua'i Interscholastic Federation second round last week while Waimea (6-2) won the KIF first round, forcing tonight's playoff. Only one team will qualify from the KIF.
