Newt Gingrich set for Maui book signing

Former Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich will be signing copies of his best-selling book at 6 p.m. Friday at Borders Books & Music on Maui.

KAHULUI — Former Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich will be signing copies of his best-selling book "Real Change: From the World That Fails to the World That Works" at 6 p.m. Friday at Borders Books & Music, 270 Dairy Road in Kahului.

Gingrich, a Republican, served as speaker from 1995 to 1999, and is a senior fellow at the American Enterprise Institute. He founded the Center for Health Transformation, a collaboration of leaders dedicated to the creation of a cost-efficient and effective healthcare system that benefits all Americans.

Gingrich also is the general chairman of American Solutions for Winning the Future, a nonpartisan organization "designed to rise above traditional gridlocked partisanship, to provide real, significant solutions to the most important issues facing our country," according to a news release.
