Light trade winds to weaken into the weekend

Light trade winds will become southeasterly and weaken as the weekend approaches, the National Weather Service said.

The change in wind direction will lead to daytime sea breezes and nighttime land breezes, forecasters said.

Overall conditions will remain mostly dry, but what showers do occur will shift from windward slopes to island interiors during the afternoon. Nights will be mostly clear, dry and cool.

Here's how the next few days are shaping up:

Today: Mostly sunny then becoming sunny late in the morning then becoming mostly sunny. Highs 76 to 82. East winds 10 to 15 mph.

Tonight: Partly cloudy. Lows 61 to 69. East winds 10 to 15 mph.

Friday: Sunny. Highs 77 to 83. East winds 10 to 15 mph shifting to the southeast in the late morning and afternoon.

Friday night: Mostly clear. Lows 60 to 67. North winds around 10 mph.

Saturday: Sunny in the morning, then partly sunny with isolated showers in the afternoon. Highs 76 to 82. North winds around 10 mph until mid morning becoming light. Chance of rain 20 percent.

Saturday night: Partly cloudy. Isolated showers in the evening. Lows 60 to 69. Light winds. Chance of rain 20 percent.
