Pedestrian injured in McCully remains critical

Advertiser Staff

Police had not been notified this afternoon of any change in the condition of a 69-year-old female pedestrian who was critically injured earlier today on South King Street, 37 feet east of Kalakaua Avenue, in McCully.

Vehicular homicide investigator Sgt. John Agno said the woman was not in a crosswalk and running across South King Street when struck at 6:31 a.m. by a 1998 Toyota Camry.

The pedestrian landed 30 feet away from the impact location and suffered critical head and pelvis injuries, police said. She was taken to The Queen's Medical Center.

A 78-year-old male driver of the Camry was not injured.
