Hawaiian Airlines said its planes were 83.1 percent full in January.

The state's largest carrier said its load factor for last month was down 0.9 percentage points from the year-earlier's 84 percent.

Hawaiian said it served a total of 567,160 passengers last month, which was up 3.8 percent from January 2007's 546,164.
