A Pearl Ridge townhouse fire today that caused $4,000 damage to structure and contents was started by a reading lamp which fell onto a pile of clothing, according to investigators.

Honolulu Fire Department spokesman Capt. Frank Johnson said the midday fire at 98-809 Kaonohi St. was limited to one of the unit's three bedrooms. No injuries were reported.
