Warm, muggy weather expected this weekend

Look for the weather to get a bit muggy this weekend when the trade winds weaken a bit and turn to southerlies, resulting in daytime sea breezes and nighttime offshore winds, according to the National Weather Service.

Conditions are expected to remain mostly dry with what showers that do occur shifting from windward slopes to island interiors in the afternoon, forecasters said.

Nights will be mostly clear and cool.

Here's a closer look at the next few days:

Today: Mostly sunny. Highs 77 to 83. East winds 10 to 15 mph shifting to the southeast in the late morning and afternoon.

Tonight: Mostly clear. Lows 60 to 67. North winds around 10 mph.

Saturday: Sunny in the morning, then partly sunny with isolated showers in the afternoon. Highs 76 to 82. North winds around 10 mph until mid morning becoming light. Chance of rain 20 percent.

Saturday night: Partly cloudy. Isolated showers in the evening. Lows 60 to 69. Light winds. Chance of rain 20 percent.

Sunday: Sunny in the morning, then partly sunny with isolated showers in the afternoon. Highs 76 to 81. Light winds. Chance of rain 20 percent.
