HONOLULU — The state Department of Transportation is reminding motorists that Pali Highway will be closed in the Kailua-bound direction between Waokanaka Street and Kamehameha Highway at Castle Junction from 7 p.m tonight to 7 a.m. Sunday for tunnel cleaning and maintenance work.

Kailua-bound motorists are advised to use alternate routes such as the Likelike Highway and the H-3 Freeway and to allow for extra travel time. Only emergency vehicles and city buses will be allowed through the closure.
