SPORTS, HEALTH & FITNESS EXPO

10 a.m.-8 p.m. today, 10 a.m.-5 p.m. tomorrow

Blaisdell Exhibition Hall

$4 general, $2 military, free for those 12 and younger and 65 and older, and registered entrants in the Great Aloha Run

The aim is to get folks up and moving — and living long and healthy lives. And so the 2008 Great Aloha Run Sports, Health & Fitness Expo continues this weekend, filled with activities that focus on six themes: keiki fun; action sports; pets and people; high-tech; healthy foods, home and wellness; and financial fitness.

If you have questions about your pets, veterinarians will be on hand from 2 to 8 p.m. today and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. tomorrow.

WHAT TO DO

Among today's attractions and appearances:

  • 10:15 a.m.: keiki soccer clinic

  • 11 a.m.: Chef Ernesto, of Kenny's Restaurant, demonstrates sugar-free cooking.

  • 1 p.m: Dr. Nicholas Romanov on injury-free running; also noon tomorrow, on how to run faster

  • 2:15 p.m: Chef Chai of Chai's Island Bistro

  • 4 p.m.: Laurie Steelsmith, naturopathic physician and acupuncturist

  • 5:15 p.m. today. U.S. Tennis Association cardio tennis; also at 12:15 p.m. tomorrow

  • Tomorrow at 11 a.m.: Alan Takasaki of Le Bistro restaurant
