Jeannie Chesser benefit sale is today

Advertiser Staff

A benefit for Hawai'i surfer Jeannie Chesser, who is fighting cancer, takes place from noon to 6 p.m. today at Waimea Valley Audubon Center.

The event features an auction of boards ridden by pro surfers (including Andy and Bruce Irons and Kelly Slater), new boards, jewelry, art and more.

Admission is free. The event also benefits the Defend Oahu Coalition.

Can't make the benefit, but still want to contribute? An account — "Da Friends of Jeannie Chesser" — has been set up at First Hawaiian Bank in Kahala, 1348 Hunakai St., Honolulu 96816.
