High-surf advisory issued for north- and west-facing shores

The National Weather Service tonight posted a high-surf advisory for north- and west-facing shores of O'ahu, Kaua'i, Maui and Ni'ihau.
Meteorologist Ian Morrison said surf in the 10- to 15-feet range is expected tomorrow afternoon on north-facing shores with surf 6-12 feet on west-facing shores.
Beachgoers are advised to exercise caution.
