A 42-year-old man was arrested last night on suspicion that he attacked another man with a pipe in Kalihi Kai.

The complainant, 54, suffered a fractured wrist and police arrested the suspect for second-degree assault at 7:30 p.m.

Police said the complainant went to a Republican Street residence to collect a loan from a relative of the suspect. The victim was chased from the home by the suspect, who allegedly hit him with a pipe before witnesses disarmed the suspect and took the complainant to the hospital.
