WAIPAHU
Eastbound H-1 lanes in Waipahu closed at night

Advertiser Staff

The two right-most lanes of the H-1 Freeway going eastbound toward Honolulu from Fort Weaver Road to the Paiwa on-ramp will be closed from 9 p.m. to 4:30 a.m. tonight through Thursday night.

The closures will allow state road crews to finish pavement resurfacing work along that segment of the freeway. The project is expected to run through June.

During those hours, the eastbound Waikele-Waipahu offramp (Exit 7 east) will also be closed. Motorists are advised to use alternate exists during that time, including the 'Ewa-Kunia-Waipahu offramp (Exit 5 east), the Waipahu offramp (Exit 8 east) or the Kamehameha Highway offramp (Exit 8C east).
