Marine convoy may slow Big Island traffic

Advertiser Staff

MARINE CORPS BASE HAWAI'I, O'ahu — Marines and sailors from Marine Corps Base Hawai'i and Okinawa, Japan, will travel in a convoy between Kawaihae and Pohakuloa Training Area, from approximately 9 a.m. to noon today through Monday.

Approximately 2,000 Marines and sailors will participate in a Hawaii Combined Arms Exercise at Pohakuloa Training Area on the Big Island.

The Department of Army police at PTA are working closely with local authorities and military officials to coordinate this activity. Motorists are advised to drive with care and allow extra time in case of traffic delays.
