SBA sets two events Feb. 28 for business owners

The U.S. Small Business Administration will hold two events Feb. 28 to help business owners with their financing needs and securing government contracts.

"Contracting: A Tool for Success" is set for 9 a.m.-1 p.m. at Kapolei Hale. The workshop will provide information on expanding a business through government contracting, determining what government agencies are buying, and understanding procurement guidelines and regulations.

Representatives from the state Department of Transportation, U.S. Navy Pacific Division, and the Veterans Administration will discuss their services, goals and procedures. Mary Dale of the SBA and Naomi Masuno of First Hawaiian Bank also will be available.

The second event, "SBA Resource Day," is set for 9 a.m.-2 p.m. at the Honolulu Federal Credit Union Kapi'olani branch, 1357 Kapi'olani Blvd, Space G-101.
