Willie K to open for both War concerts

Willie K, the wowie Maui singer, will open up War's concerts in Honolulu and in Kahului next week.

War, the soul-rock band whose arsenal includes such hits as "Cisco Kid," "Summer," "Low Rider" and "Why Can't We Be Friends," will perform at 9 p.m. Feb. 28 at the Pipeline Cafe.

On Maui, the concert will be at 7:30 p.m. Feb. 29 at Castle Theatre at the Maui Arts & Cultural Center.

Willie's war chest of hits include "Katchi Katchi Music Makawao" and "You, Ku'uipo."

Honolulu tickets are $35 in advance, $45 on concert day, with VIP seats priced at $60, available at all Ticketmaster locations, including the Blaisdell Center box office and Time Super Market locations, as well as the Pipeline box office. Call 877-750-4400, or go to www.ticketmaster.com.
