SALT LAKE
Three viaduct lanes will be closed Sunday for repair

Advertiser Staff

The three rightmost lanes of the H-1 Freeway Airport Viaduct will be closed in the westbound direction from the airport on-ramp to the Kamehameha Highway/Aloha Stadium/Arizona Memorial off-ramp (Exit 15A - West) on Sunday from 4:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. for concrete pavement repair work, the state Department of Transportation said.

All on- and off-ramps will remain open.

The roadwork is part of a $9.1 million project to repair potholes on the viaduct between Middle and Valkenburgh streets. Crews will use a fast-forming concrete to fill potholes.

The speed limit near the repair area will be reduced to 15 mph to minimize vibrations along the viaduct as the concrete cures.
