When Annika Sorenstam won the SBS Open at Turtle Bay Saturday her message to Lorena Ochoa was clear: "Vamonos," or "let's go."

The former world's No. 1 was back and ready to rumble. Ochoa, No. 1 in the Rolex ranking and home in Mexico after choosing to start her LPGA season next week, had better be ready.

Sorenstam will go for her third straight win in paradise today when the Fields Open in Hawai'I tees off at Ko Olina Golf Club. Stacy Prammanasudh is defending champion.

The tournament has half the world's top 10 and Hawai'i's Michelle Wie and Ayaka Kaneko. The LPGA's second full-field event of 2008 has a field of 138.

Prammanasudh, who was 32nd at Turtle Bay, edged Jee Young Lee by one stroke last year for her second career victory. She climbed over $2 million in career earnings later in the year.

By contrast, Sorenstam's 70th victory Saturday shot her over the $21 million mark.

Sorenstam played just 13 events last year because of a disk injury and had not won since Sept. 3, 2006. She looked healthy on the North Shore.

It was the fifth time in eight years that Sorenstam won her season debut, including the LPGA Takefuji Classic in 2002 — her last appearance in Hawai'i.

A win this week would make her the first player since LPGA founder Marilynn Smith in 1966 to win back-to-back official money events to open a season. Babe Zaharias, Louise Suggs and Mickey Wright also accomplished the feat in 1951, 1952 and 1963.

The tournament has free transportation for the public from Waikiki to Ko Olina all three days. The first shuttles will be at 5:30 a.m. and the next at 8 a.m., and every half-hour after until 12:30 p.m. The last shuttle leaves Ko Olina at 5:30 p.m.

Waikiki pickup points are at Sheraton Waikiki (covered bus terminal area), DFS Galleria (Royal Hawaiian Avenue entrance), Hyatt Regency Waikiki (side entrance on Koa Street) and Hilton Hawaiian Village (Kalia Road across Tapa Tower Bus Depot). The 5:30 a.m. shuttle will only stop at the first two pickup points.

Golf Channel will air a three-part feature on Wie Saturday, Sunday and Monday.
